Hanli Prinsloo

Hanli Prinsloo is a Cape Town based world class freediver and holder of 11 South African records, including breath-holds in excess of seven minutes, and unassisted (no fins) dives to below 60m. She competes regularly in international tournaments, including the 2011 World Championship in Greece. Hanli is also an environmentalist and campaigns tirelessly to raise awareness of marine ecological issues. She uses IsatPhone, FleetPhone and BGANs provided by Evosat to keep in touch from the many varied habitats in which she works.

From 12 June 2011 to 30 June 2012, Scott Ramsay will be exploring and documenting the wild places of South Africa. The goal is to promote the conservation of the country’s natural wonders, by sharing his photos, videos and blogs with the world via social media. Scott will travel to 31 of South Africa’s most special wilderness and wildlife areas. In these unique areas, he will be interviewing rangers, community leaders, environmental and cultural activists, ecologists, scientists, researchers, travellers and school kids.

Run by Dr. Steve Mannion, a surgeon with years of experience in third-world medicine, Feet First is a rarity: a charitable organisation that, with very few overheads, dramatically improves the lives of thousands of children each year.

Kingsley Holgate

The “Old Greybeard” of African adventure, Kingsley Holgate is a modern marvel. His most recent adventure took him on a 15-month circumnavigation of Africa's coastline, starting and finishing in Cape Town, home of Evosat. Kingsley and his team used BGAN to communicate with the outside world, send emails, and to update blogs and website. On their epic journey they distributed over 100,000 mosquito nets to expectant mothers, providing the most practical help possible in the fight against malaria.
